Nelli Safina

Nelli Safina is a cinematographer who is currently studying filmmaking at the Savannah College of Art and Design. Originally from Kazan, Russia, she moved to the United States at 15 to pursue Idyllwild Arts Academy, an art high school in California. Since then, she has contributed to over 40 productions around the world. Her work has been showcased at AMC Theatres, Los Angeles Fashion Week, and the TCL Chinese Theater. In addition to working on sets as a cinematographer, Nelli has founded the SCAD Cinematography Club, which has grown to over 100 active members and hosts events with top industry professionals such as Catherine Goldschmidt (The Last of Us, House of the Dragon), Larkin Seiple (Everything Everywhere All At Once), and Todd Banhazl (Winning Time). The club also collaborate with major companies and organizations like Cineo Lighting, ETC Connect, ICF⁺C, and MBS.
